I'd love to put this post up on a billboard. I've learned that people don't like it when you ask questions to dig deeper, even if it would lead you to agree with them. Anymore, questions are deemed an attack, no matter how genuinely investigative they are. Thus, many people quit questioning what they are told, lest they be attacked for asking.
