Mostly true...

Amused at this quotation from TigerDirect regarding an AMD Athlon 42 X2 4200+ CPU:
"Dual-core technology is like having two processors, and two working together is better and faster than one working alone."

~wry grin~ Depending on exactly what sorts of issues you had with them, I think they have; I've gotten a couple of one-off things from them without any trouble--at least without trouble that I would pin on them. I had a motherboard that I'm pretty sure I ordered through them whose USB connectors stopped working, but I also got my current CPU from them and it's been working fine for the past year and a half... and I'm more inclined to be grumpy with MSI for the motherboard (I think I had a videocard from them that failed before I wanted to replace it as well...) than with Tiger Direct.

Ah, good to hear that they might be improving. We got a Windows 2000 server which, in sequence, proved to have a ground fault through the board, a bad power supply, bad ram, bad CMOS (on the replacement board, both ram and CMOS) and... several other things. Eventually my the fellow I worked with punched it dead, which was, in my opinion, the best $2000 the company ever spent. Next machine behaved, and we started having sane work days.
