Days Like This

I love days like this,
Where it’s cool
And a little rainy
But not so much that you need an umbrella
And a little bit of foggy

A twilight, soft and chill
Hanging over the city all day
Like Night got its cloak
Caught in the door
As it was on its way out

A perfect day
For things like hot chocolate
Soft, fuzzy clothes
And snuggling down
Under big, warm blankets

The damp chill
Muffles even the pervasive
Noise of the city
Making the madness of the world
Seem a little farther away

And outlines in contrast
That warmth and brightness
That each of us
Carries inside ourselves
I love days like this

That was LOVELY! I especially like these lines:

Like Night got its cloak
Caught in the door
As it was on its way out

very nice!

Hehe, that's one of my favorite parts, too ^_^

I'm glad you're feeling better--didn't end up moving furniture due to traffic considerations, but I managed to reschedule the truck for Sunday so that should work much better :)

I love nights like this
When the rain brims with neon
so the fog glows faded pink.
We'll follow the sidewalk cracks
to wherever they take us
Live for twilight knowing the dawn will break us.
A fickle sun rises, and the stars leak away with the dew.

Heh, thanks. You should post more poetry.
