Well, okay, so it's not frozen right now, but it sounds so much more... dramatic that way ^_^

Had a good time with my friends last night (Maggiano's Little Italy is a splendid restaurant ;) and managed, on 3 hours of sleep, to fly from the East Coast to the southernmost state to the northernmost state (DC to Dallas/Fort Worth to Minneapolis). Well, okay, so for the most part I sat there and let the pilot do the flying, but I managed to make all my flights and negotiate the shuttle van down to Rochester and not lose any of my luggage (that I've been able to tell so far).

Now I'm home and having great time with my family and working on my costume (well, okay, providing assitance to Mom in the form of manual labor when possible, but I figure it's better than nothing and it's freeing her up to do the more complicated parts, so it counts!)

Just to try to share a little bit of the fun I'm having, here's a definition from my sister: Vermicelli -- The rats in an orchestra that play cellos.

Yeah, I'm definitely having a good time. Have you ever had the experience of laughing so hard that you started laughing at yourself for laughing so hard, because the thing you started laughing at wasn't really that funny, and then you realize that you're laughing at your laughter, and you laugh even harder? If not, I'm sorry for you and I urge you to try it as soon as you get the opportunity ^_^

Also, here's another joke from the conversation (this is happening live in the background as I type, so I'm stealing my favorite parts and putting them here for you. Well, not all my favorite parts, but the ones that I can remember and capture enough that some of the humor might be preserved. Anyway, on with the show!)

What do you get when you throw a grenade into a kitchen in France?

sounds like you're having fun, don't forget about us little people in MD and forget to come home. With you comes my sanity! Anyway, yeah, might have to work tomorrow too (sat.) which means I'll be working 10 days in a row... lets hope I don't have to go in! Have a wonderful time!

Don't worry, I promise I'll come back--I may not like the DC metro area, but I'm finding that there are certain people I like there far too much (of which you are definitely one ^_^) for me to stay away for too long ;) Friends in every port, me hearties!

Here's hoping that you won't have to work!

Sounds like you're having an awesome time-- as it should be! Congrats on not losing your luggage/sanity/soul/etc.
Enjoy the Ren Faire!
