I overheard some of my coworkers talking about the Wii Sensor Bar, and apparently it's not all that complicated. More specifically, it looks to be just two sets of infrared LEDs that the Wiimote uses to help triangulate its location. So I did a little bit of looking around, and discovered this video here that shows someone using a pair of TV remotes to emulate the sensor bar. It'll be interesting to see where people go with this ^_^

I've heard that before. Apparently people have used LED lights to be able to play their Wii all sorts of places, including a movie theater screen. I'm planning on throwing something together so when I go back home, I can play my Wii on my parent's projection screen. Super awesome.

That is pretty cool.... if I ever get an oversized TV I might try hacking it instead of just adjusting the sensitivity... :-P

This actually makes me think of a comic Idea I had back in the day... but I don't remember the punchline...
