New Toys OR Construction Has Resumed
Apr. 1st, 2005 12:54 amAfter getting home tonight I went out to Lowe's (ahh! I never realized there were so many nifty places within three miles of me!) and acquired a drill, a 3/8" oak dowel, a pair of safety goggles, a pair of gloves, a set of drill bits, and a pair of pliers. Yummy.
Upon returning home, I proceeded to open and plug in said drill and then realize that perhaps getting a "single speed" drill was a poor choice on my part. The single speed, you see, is somewhere between Very Fast and Oh My God Make It Stop! Still, I prevailed and was able to make a coil, of sorts (lots of gaps between the loops and several extremely messy parts that I just don't even want to talk about) and chop it up into rings. From there, while talking on the phone with
judyisis I managed to make a 67-ring piece of 4-in-1 mail.
It's not much, but it's a start ^_^
