Wow

I've been looking at my journal lately and realized that the meme:real entry ratio is skewing towards the "excessively high" side. Even if I factor in screened posts, etc. it doesn't make much difference. So here's a real post about what's been going on lately

Went to the Renaissance festival a few times, had a blast both times. First time was rainy, which was great because it kept the dust and crowds down. Second time was, I am convinced, some of the best weather we have had the entire year. The second time around I ended up getting a new jerkin and a hammered dulcimer. Pictures of both will hopefully be added soon (i.e. this weekend when we go again ;)

Last Sunday I ended up going to a computer show. The highlight was me getting a new video card which, if I'm not mistaken, is not only much better than my old one but will also support two monitors simultaneously. I will be experimenting with this more in the near future. ^_^ Also got a new flash drive, hoping to install some flavor of Linux on it and make it a portable development studio. Plug it in, boot up, and get to work. We'll see whether that happens ;)

I've been going through some relationship changes as well, which I believe are going to be for the better for both of us. I think we were both starting to take things too seriously, which was leading to me feeling a little too restricted, which in turn was probably leading to my starting to smother her as well. So we're backing off a bit and going to try to take it a little less seriously and have more fun with it :)

So all in all, I'd have to say that life is going good right now :-D

glad to see you're doing okay. sorry i've dropped off the face of the planet - and it's only going to get worse until Thanksgiving is over... forgive me, and I'll forgive you for depriving me of my very-favorite-est lunch companion.
