More fragments

tcepsaNothing particularly deep or meaningful to share at this point, but I figure it's been a very full weekend so I'll put up a little synopsis here ^_^
Ryan's place, Dead Like Me, finished Firefly, Chik-Fil-A, Ikea--take a map and compass, or possibly a ball of golden string or spool of network cable next time! New lamps, bookcase, powersaver bulbs, Quake 3 Arena, chatting with old friends, making a few new ones, putting together furniture (big puzzles are fun!), City of Heroes, Calculus (proofs are hard, but I'll get them yet! ;), webcomics, dishes, groceries, C++, Taxi, hanging out with friends in Silver Spring, phones with answering machines out of stock (foiled again!), and sleep!
Yay for fun! XD
So yeah, all in all, I'd say it was a good weekend. Dad's in town Thursday night through Sunday, so we'll probably do a lot of exploring (about time, since I've lived here for like a year and a half almost ;) but hopefully I'll find time to finish the next comic before then. For now, I'm trying to keep it to a bi-monthly rate, and I'm hoping to boost that to once-a-week sometime before next year. No promises though O:)
In the meantime, it's one of those situations where I'm not quiiite done with work but don't have anything that I could do in the short amount of time that I have left... ordinarily I'd just study some more C++, but tonight I just want to get out of here... Ah well, that time will come soon enough :)

Date: 2004-10-13 05:32 pm (UTC)Ikea... yeah... wow. Once I have money again, I'll probably go back and just spend the whole day (hehe, or maybe I won't wait until I have money...) I managed to find some stuff I like, but for some reason the furniture with the rounded corners doesn't really appeal to me--probably because of that part of me that likes being able to make bigger furniture from my little furniture, and pushing two round-ish pieces together to try to make a larger piece just doesn't generally work so well... Anyway, </tangent>!
In my case, getting family to visit is a good thing and the cleaning ahead of time is a pain but I like having a mostly-clean place so it's all good ^_^ (really the only tricky part is making sure I've got the shiny pants and my "Hentai Inside" bag well put away O:) But yeah, I'll probably be a little more scarce until Sunday evening since I imagine we'll be pretty busy while he's here.
