Taking a page from friends of ours,
fortryll and I are hosting a sewing / crafting weekend on August 5th & 6th from 9 AM to 8 PM each day!
We live in Annandale - right off the beltway and 395, so it's easy to get to (let me know if you need directions).
Feel free to stop by for any or all of the weekend...tentative rsvp's are welcome but last minute is fine too :) Parking is NOT an issue on weekends during the day (which is why we're "closing up" at 8 PM); space in our home can expand up to 8-10 people at a time, maybe more!
We do have cats, so bring allergy meds if you need to. We welcome children. If you want to bring someone else with you, just let us know - it'll be fine :) We have one sewing machine on premises; feel free to bring more. We have drop spindles & spinning wheels, and I can lend inexpensive roving & yarn for anyone that wants to learn to knit or spin. We have larger tables that can be used for "spreading out", as well as plenty of floor space. Alternate crafts are welcome (including miniature painters, chain maille makers, and other cool stuff). In fact, if you just want to come and watch crafters, feel free!
Feel free to bring food / drinks of choice; we may opt to order food for lunch or send a runner to get something from one of the local establishments.
More reminders will be forthcoming!
