Craft Weeked Drawing Nigh!
Aug. 3rd, 2006 10:46 amA reminder for those of you who are planning on (or even just thinking about) coming, and a heads-up for those of you who didn't see the first one:
fortryll and I are going to be hosting a craft weekend at our place this Saturday and Sunday from about 9 AM (hey, it's the weekend, we should get to sleep in at least a little!) to 8 PM each day. We've got two coffee tables, a dining room table, a card table, and a sewing-machine-that-turns-into-a-table, and we've got floor space if all of those are taken. We've got a handful of drop spindles, two spinning wheels, and inexpensive roving if you want to learn to spin. We have most sizes of knitting needles and plenty of yarn if you want to learn to knit. We have electrical fence wire, bolt cutters, and pliers for people who want to learn to make chainmail(le). We've got computers if you want to learn how to make programs. We've got calligraphy pens and nibs, brushes, and ink (please bring your own ricepaper or onionskin paper) if you'd like to practice eastern or western calligraphy. And more! ;) And of course, if you happen to have some sort of project that you're already working on, we'd love to have you join us.
We live in Annandale between 395 and 495--e-mail one of us and we'll give you more specific directions if you need them. We'll try to have some snacks available and probably do a food run around lunchtime--feel free to bring along foods and beverages to supplement our supply ^_^
