I have been listening to a ton of recently acquired Weird Al songs all evening and they've brought back some really awesome memories of childhood silliness. Very interesting how things that you'd thought had been locked away farther than you could reach can suddenly leap out and start prancing about you to the tune of La-la-la-la-lasagna ^_^

Heh. What I love most about Weird Al is how many of his parodies will be remembered and loved long after some of the original songs and even groups have been forgotten. (Although Frank's 2000 inch TV doesn't quite seem as farfetched now as it did when I first heard it... ::grin::)

The other great thing about Al is that, since I stopped listening to pop music around 1980 (moving to classical and folk...), his music is the one of the few reasons I can get a reasonable score playing Karaoke Revolution... :P
