Move: Successful!
Oct. 29th, 2007 11:36 amAfter that last nervous/fretful post, people did end up making it after all (fortunately the stuff that had happened turned out not to be so bad that they had to cancel completely). Ended up taking two days instead of the one that I hoped it would, but that was probably being overly optimistic on my part to begin with. Total time, not counting driving, for the actual moving was probably around ten or eleven hours. (And that _does_ include all of the "oh crap, that's another thing I forgot to pack up! Where did I get all this STUFF?!")
And there are probably a few things that I still managed to forget down in Springfield; when I'm trying to go down my mental checklist of everything that I own, I'm bound to miss some things here and there... I'll get them as they turn up, though, and so I am not worrying about them now.
Move Accomplished. ~grin~ Now I just have to move in...

Date: 2007-11-01 08:52 pm (UTC)Though in this case it might not have helped, as I didn't really give in to the idea that it was going to be a second day until I got to the house at 9 and I don't have network there and wouldn't have had the energy (and certainly didn't have the presence of mind) to go to someplace that had network access and write such a post. Perhaps next time I shall be able to give more warning... (though I REALLY hope that THAT won't be for a couple of years at least! ^_^; )
