Marginal Goodness
Dec. 13th, 2004 12:35 amOkay, so I suppose it can be considered slightly better than marginal goodness; I've got the new computer working--sort of. I can't run it at its full-speed glory yet, but 12.5x166 isn't that much slower than 13x166. Also, the onboard sound doesn't work, but that's okay because I've got a sound card anyway. Other than that, it seems to be happy now and so I'm undertaking the long arduous process of reinstalling windows and all of my tools and toys. I was due for a rebuild anyway, but it's still a hassle ;)
Other than that, went to explore monuments on Friday and took a fun hike around DC that started at about 8:30 and ended somewhere around 1:00ish. Got off at Rosslyn station and met friends, then hiked to Georgetown and had supper, then walked to Lincoln memorial, then from there went to Vietnam memorial, then stopped by the WWII memorial and finally went over to the National Christmas Tree for a not-so-grand finale (the tree had been turned off by then ;) All in all it was a good time.
Other than that played cards on Thursday which was awesome and, well, have been working on the computer. So far, I've been enjoying it :)
