Update Flood

Current moving status--I have been given option to extend lease until August since construction doesn't start on this part of the building until September. May or may not be taking it. That would probably work best for everyone since then Judy will have saved up enough to come out and we'd be able to get a place together. We'll see what happens there.
I HAVE A CAR!!! Red 1993 Geo Prizm with ~118k miles. Nothing fancy, but as long as it can take me to Woodbridge or Baltimore, that's all I really need ^_^ First vehicle that I can say is all mine, and yes, I am proud of that even if it is only because it was dirt cheap ;) Hopefully this means I will actually have more time now since there are certain situations where waiting for the metro seems like it takes significantly longer than driving would (e.g. traveling to Silver Spring, or visiting aforementioned Woodbridge or Baltimore ;)
Going home to see the family next weekend and mooch chocolate and jellybeans off them O:)
Learning to program the NES. Nothing too fancy right now, but I made something where you can move a cursor around the screen. If people are interested, I'll see what I can do about getting it (and, more importantly, subsequent work ;) up on a website somewhere. Ahh, sweet 8-bit assembly...
Reading Anne Bishop's Daughter of the Blood (on loan to me from![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
margoeve) and it has so far been fantastic. I'm a bit over halfway through it, I think, and I've only been really reading it for about two or three days. That's a pretty good rate for me (or I've just gotten too used to reading government documents that take me an hour to slog a few pages ;)
Work's pace and direction for me have shifted to where things seem to be going much better. Hopefully they will continue to hold :)
Have been too busy to work much on comic. Hopefully tomorrow night...
Had a bad misunderstanding withjudyisis the other night but worked through it and did some processing related to asking for/going for what I want. It seems to have helped, because I've been wanting to work on the NES programming for months now, but only started Sunday night (after the processing).
Overall status: Good shape!
