On the way home Thursday I stopped at Chinatown to go to the Da Hua market to get Pocky to bring home with me to my family this weekend. I discovered that they were having a going-out-of-business sale! Upside: I got some really neat stuff at some awesome prices. Downside: Need to find another supplier of really neat stuff like that :/

Proceeded to go home and pack, then went to poker night. Had an awesome time, and managed to come out ahead (a lovely turnaround from the last time). Gave a ride home to one of the other players, then traveled to Woodbridge and stayed at Ryan's place. Didn't actually sleep because I got there around 1:00, caught up on Stargate, and then it was time for us to go to the airport. Got a little sleep on the way there. Made it just in time to start boarding our flight, but then they were half an hour late starting the boarding so we made it with plenty of time to spare (hehe, though not good logic to use when planning what time to leave ;)

Flew to St. Louis. Was (happily) unconscious most of the time. I can't wait until I get my back straightened out to the point where I can actually sleep comfortably in those chairs without my neck feeling like it's going to snap from leaning too far back--or is that a common occurrance? Had approximately an hour layover where I ate some breakfast and basically zoned out listening to music on my CD player and trying to ignore the news that they had playing. Caught the transfer flight and made it to the Twin Cities.

Got a ride home to Rochester from Ryan's mom.

Home sweet home! Relaxed a bit, caught up with family members and got settled in, then went thrift store shopping with Mom and my sisters. I ended up getting among other things, two nice shirts and another pair of corduroys. It was awesome ^_^

Came home, had supper, went to see my littlest brother in his jr. high school's production of Fiddler on the Roof. They rocked. It was especially cool for me to see him doing such a good job on stage; I didn't have anywhere close to enough self-assurance to do that when I was his age (oh how things have changed O:) Plus I love being in theaters. There's something about the way that reality blurs a little bit in theaters that makes things possible there that can't happen anywhere else. Plus several of my happiest memories from high school are in theaters. I think at some point down the road I will definitely have to get involved again ;)

Then, after stopping for our customary post-performance pie at Baker's Square, we came home again. When we got out of the van, we were greeted by a gorgeous night with a full moon bright enough that I could see just a hint of the blue of the sky, and Mom and Dad and I decided to go cross-country skiing since it will probably be one of the last few such opportunities we have this year. That, too, was wonderful. Just being out under that sky with just the crunching of the snow beneath our skis or the occasional owl hooting to break the silence... it was beautiful.

Now we're back and it's finally time for me to get some real sleep ;) Good night!
