Since it's been awhile, I'll provide a brief update of what's been happening since the end of July/beginning of August.
First, Otakon was AWESOME!!! Had a blast with my friends that came, and got some really cool stuff. Swords, artwork, a picture and T-shirt from Mookie (artist and creator of Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire some really great posters... the list goes on and on. It was too short, but we're eager to go again next year and I'm considering going to Katsucon in February to help tide me over ^_^
Also along those lines, I am once again trying to do a webcomic--this time I'm not trying to do it solo, which should help with the motivation. Sure I've only got two strips created so far, but it's got promise. It'll probably be a weekly-update comic until I get good enough at drawing (or my standards slip far enough) to allow for more frequent updates ^_^ We're hoping to roll-out in mid-September, and I'll post the address here sometime close to that. (If you pester me enough, I might give it to you sooner O:)
Other than that, things have been getting very busy at work, so I've been trying to hang on with that.
Last Thursday a friend invited me to a party and I had a great time and met a young woman there with whom I have since: Gone to the Rennaissance Festival, gone out for pizza and frappucinos (two separate events), watched The Breakfast Club (which is an awesome movie that you should absolutely go out and get right as soon as you finish reading this), watched Crybaby, and watched a girl stripped to the waist playing in a fountain (Yowza. Did I mentioned it's been a crazy week?). And laughed. A LOT. So despite all the stuff going on at work, it's been awesome ^_^
Which brings us pretty much up to the present, as far as I can tell. Tomorrow I'll be staying with friends to make my departure for Minnesota easier, where I will be reuniting with my family for the Rennaissance Festival there! Two Rennaissance Festivals on consecutive weekends... all I can say is, HUZZAH!!!
Now go! Rent The Breakfast Club!!! RENT! Fly, my pretties! Fly! Muahahahaaaa!
