I don't watch much TV; prior to getting cable it was pretty much limited to Startgate SG1 and Atlantis down at my friend Ryan's place on SciFi Fridays. Now, however, I have a box that can record somewhere between thirty and fifty hours of shows, and I've broadened my horizons. Not much, but a little. The main one that I am thinking of has had many good things said about it by friends of mine, and I've enjoyed the few episodes that I have seen. It's mildly cynical show on Comedy Central that likes to poke fun at current events. No, not South Park, though that is a good show as well. My new favorite is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Since I'm sick, I've used the time to watch some of the recordings that I'd made of it, and I loved it. If laughter is the best medicine, I'll be better in no time thanks to it ^_^

Cable is overpriced. I watch current SG-1s at Aaron's and every once in a while I see something on TLC at Jen's. You should see what DVDs they have at your library. We got seasons 1-7 of SG-1 from ours. At home, mom has gotten Babylon 5 (she likes it because it's cheesy), Alias (which she thought was too much drama), SG-1, Firefly, and more. You wait forever to get the disks, but free is worth it.

Library... I used to know what that was...

Might be time to re-discover them! :)

I did mention I have a bunch of this past election's coverage by the Daily show on tape, right?

Yes, yes you did. Unfortunately I have no VCR. Between that and FarScape, we should probably actually schedule some time to get together (since I seem to recall you also mentioning that while the FarScape does not leave the house, I was invited to view it there at some point :)

So, when did you say all this end-of-semester madness ends for you...? ;)

John Stewart's election coverage was awesome. Go see it Joel! Also, while i didn't not see much more than the last season of FarScape on reruns around the miniseries time (due to my lack of cable when it was actually on tv and my then lack of tv watching our early college years) the miniseries was incredibly awesome. Definately you must see that. Also, before July please get into BattleStar Gallactica. There aren't too many episodes to catch up on, and it's... amazingly smart and entertaining sci-fi. Dave and I want more people to talk about the show with. LOL
